Djura / Risk โ€“ Data โ€“ Engineering

From research to practice.

Djura is a Pavia-based company I co-founded in 2024. We build digital tools and provide engineering services for catastrophe risk, bringing peer-reviewed research into everyday engineering work.

Co-founder & developer ยท since June 2024

01 / Mission

Empowering global resilience with user-friendly tools for catastrophe risk modelling and engineering analysis, so that complex problems are tackled with the right know-how.

02 / What we offer

Online platform

03 / Applications

Each application runs on the Djura platform and ships as an installable part of the djura Python package.

  • Record selection output chart

    Record selection

Ground motion record selection based on the generalised conditional intensity measure (GCIM) approach and code-based criteria.

    djura[record_selection]
  • Hazard consistency output chart

    Hazard consistency

Checks that selected ground motions are consistent with the site hazard across intensity measures.

    djura[hazard_consistency]
  • EDP-IM models output chart

    EDP-IM models

Machine-learning models relating seismic intensity measures to structural response.

    djura[edp_im]
  • IM conversion output chart

    IM conversion

Converts fragility and vulnerability models between intensity measures for regional risk analysis.

    djura[im_conversion]
  • Vulnerability modeller output chart

    Vulnerability modeller

Seismic vulnerability and loss modelling, including machine-learning models.

    djura[vulnerability_modeller]
  • Storey loss functions output chart

    Storey loss functions

Generates storey loss functions linking engineering demand parameters to monetary losses in structural and non-structural elements.
